The story behind silk: Archive 1996 “Fondeo”

A handmade silk scarf with a story that endures

At PLIEGO DEL A ROSA we believe that true luxury comes from stories that endure over time.

The Archive 1996 “Fondeo” silk scarf comes from an original drawing from 1996 preserved in our creative archive. From a letter sent from Madrid to the south. An illustration representing an anchored ship that, 30 years later, comes back to life transformed into a unique silk piece.

The original design and its reinterpretation were created by the painter P. Sánchez, transferring the essence of the original drawing to an exclusive silk scarf where art, tradition, and contemporary design meet.

Twill silk: a timeless luxury fiber

This scarf is made of 100% twill silk, a high-quality fabric known for its softness, strength, and elegant drape.

Twill silk is one of the most appreciated fibers in the creation of luxury silk scarves, thanks to its characteristic texture and the way it enhances the colors and details of the design.

More than a fashion accessory, a handmade silk scarf is a timeless piece capable of preserving a story and accompanying generations.

Roulotté technique: the value of handmade finishing

The Archive 1996 “Fondeo” scarf incorporates the traditional roulotté technique, a handmade finish done on the edge of the scarf by means of a small roll and precise stitching.

This technique, common in high-quality silk scarves, requires experience and care to achieve a light, elegant, and durable finish.

Every detail reflects the value of craftsmanship and work done with time.

Made in Spain: tradition and design

Designed and made in Spain, this scarf represents the essence of Pliego De la Rosa: handmade luxury pieces Made in Spain created with respect for materials, tradition, and careful processes.

Archive 1996 “Fondeo” is a union between memory, art, and Spanish craftsmanship. A silk piece that demonstrates that true luxury does not go out of style: it endures.
